Psychiatric services
Psychiatric care that sees the whole picture
Evaluation, medication management, and ongoing support from clinicians who listen first and treat you as a person, not a chart.
A steadier kind of care
Good psychiatric care starts with being understood. We take the time to learn your history, what you've tried, and what you're hoping for — then build a plan together and stay with you as it unfolds.
Because Bodhea offers therapy and psychiatric care under one roof, the people supporting you can actually talk to each other. That coordination is the difference between a stack of appointments and a single, coherent plan for feeling better.
What to expect
How care works at Bodhea, from your first visit onward.
A thorough first visit
Your first appointment is unhurried. We go through your history, what has and has not worked for you before, your goals, and anything else that helps us understand the whole picture — not just a checklist.
A plan built with you
From there we build a plan together and talk through the options in plain language, including what to expect and what to watch for. You leave knowing what the next step is and why.
Regular check-ins
Care continues with check-ins at a pace that fits you. We pay attention to how things are going, answer your questions, and adjust the plan as your needs change.
Care that talks to itself
Because therapy and psychiatric care live under one roof at Bodhea, the people supporting you can actually coordinate — so you get one coherent plan instead of a stack of disconnected appointments.
Medication management, done thoughtfully
Medication can be one part of feeling better — and it works best when someone is genuinely paying attention to how it's going. Our medication management is straightforward: an unhurried appointment, a clear plan, and regular check-ins to adjust as your needs change.
You are never just a prescription to us. The point of the regular check-ins is to keep the plan honest — to notice what's working, change what isn't, and keep you in the loop the whole way.
Flat fee
$250
per medication management appointment. No insurance runaround — you always know the cost up front.
Common questions
- What happens at a first psychiatric appointment?
- The first visit is a thorough, unhurried conversation about your history, what you have tried before, and what you are hoping for. We use it to understand the whole picture and, together, decide on a first step.
- Do I need a referral?
- No referral is needed. The easiest way to begin is a free consultation, where we talk through what you need and whether Bodhea is the right fit.
- What is the difference between psychiatric care and medication management?
- They are part of the same care at Bodhea. Psychiatric care is the broader relationship — evaluation, planning, and ongoing support. Medication management is the part of that work focused on prescribing thoughtfully and checking in regularly to see how it is going.
- How much does a medication management appointment cost?
- Medication management is a flat $250 per appointment, so you always know the cost up front. We will walk through any other fees clearly during your consultation.
- Can I do this by telehealth?
- We see people in our Athens office and offer telehealth across Georgia, so you can choose what works for you. We will sort out the details together when you get in touch.
